I have to admit that Shannon was one of my least favorite characters
on LOST. I knew too many of that "entitled type" while growing up,
and will go a long way to avoid them now.
So I was really surprised how happy I was to see her during the
new "flashback to the crash" scenes integrated to include Nikki and Paulo
during "Expose".
Maggie Grace however, is awesome. I have followed her career
since "Shannon died" and think she has an amazing future.

I have twp 8"x10" photos signed by Maggie Grace.
She also signed a LOST Season 1 DVD poster at Comic Con 2005.
Shannon was one of the McFarlane LOST Series 1
action figures. One is on display and one MIB.
Shannon came with a prop replica of Rousseau's map.
Shannon is included in Don Pinset's spectacular
LOST Caricature compilation print.
I hope to have my print framed shortly.
It measures 24" x 36" and is just FANTASTIC!

"I Will Always Be LOST, I Will Never be LOST Again"
by drMikey aka Mike Stanton.
Mike Stanton aka drMikey offered pairs of paintings from The Harmonic Resonance Project in auctions for charity a few months ago. The proceeds of the auctions benefited Child's Play, a charity that benefits sick kids in children's hospitals with gifts of toys, games, gifts and cash. I was proud to be high bidder in several of the auctions. My friend Rob Perrin won the first pair of paintings auctioned for Child's Play: Walt and Michael. Check out his blog,My Mind Bloggles. I won the next auction featuring portraits of Shannon and Boone.
The painting of Shannon is titled: What's a Four Letter Word For I Don't Care?". Shannon's quote from Season One of LOST was also the solution to the puzzle that revealed her portrait in The Harmonic Resonance Project. The painting measures 16"x20" and was limited to an edition of 5. My painting is numbered #4/5. drMikey signed and numbered the back of the painting and also provided a Certificate of Authenticity

I have a soft spot for Shannon, which probably makes me one of the rarer LOST fans! I actually liked her a lot, because I thought her character had SO much room to grow and develop - they started her off as a spoiled unlikeable brat, and could have made a spectacular story of growth and redemption for her... but alas, just as we found out the tragic backstory about why she was the way she was, she got killed off. But anyway, I just wanted to share that I won her stash of personal belongings (the sunglasses, puzzle book, etc. on her encyclopedia entry) at the LOST auction last August, including her asthma inhaler :-) Be that as it may, your stash of Shannon/Maggie Grace memorabilia is AWESOME, and I'm very envious :-) Thanks for doing this blog - I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of this rarer LOST fans too. Cause I love Shannnon, she was my favorite! They were stupid killing her, I think she is better than Kate and Claire. Anyway, I miss her and the show. :(
DeleteCongratulations on acquiring Shannon's personal belongings! I am the one who is envious. I wish I could have afforded to purchase a few items.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you get from the auction? :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't purchase anything from the auction itself- financial responsibilities precluded that. :( But I have since purchased portions of some lots sold in the auction. And I purchased a ton of stuff from the LOST prop warehouse sale in Hawaii. I'm trying to match up those props with the episodes they appeared in now. Stay tuned. Hopefully everything will arrive soon and I will add photos to blog.
ReplyDeleteOoh, looking forward to seeing that!!
