The Swan

The Swan Station was so integral to LOST and my collection
reflect its importance.  The Swan entry in The LOST Encyclopedia
includes "The Hatch", the station, as well as the related iconic elements
such as the countdown clock, the failsafe key, The Hatch Painting...

I decided to break down this post into sections that deal with the
different elements.

The LOST Underground Art Project, Series 1.
My print is #163/300.

Plans and Blueprints

This floor plan of the Swan Station was a bonus for renewing my
subscription to LOST The Official Magagzine a few years ago.

I recently purchased a set of
Dhama Initiative Floor Plans & Orientation Package
for Station 3 "The Swan"
from Paradigm Studios.

There are 8 sheets in the package,
each measuring 17" x 11".
The package is jam-packed with information.

The cover page is embossed with a raised seal near the bottom.

Countdown Clock

The countdown clock alsp appears on a 2009 calendar.

This mini banner displays the countdown clock on one side
and the system failure hieroglyphics on the other.
I usually display the banner on a garden flag post near my front door.

"LOST" by Olly Moss
displays the hieroglyphics in one of the fragments.

Fail Safe Key

There are two fail safe keys in my collection.
The first came with the Official LOST Fan Club Kit

It is displayed in my LOST shadow box.

The second key is an accurate prop replica
that hangs from my rear-view mirror.

A fragment of "LOST" by Olly Moss
features the fail safe key.

  1. Hi,

First of all i have to say we love both your blogs, you're the greatest Lost fan.
We're still going through everything you post.
I have one question, is it still possible to get the "Dharma Initiative Floor Plans & Orientation Package for Station 3 "The Swan" anywhere.
Thanks, and keep up the excellent work.

    Kind regards from Portugal,
    Monica & Joao

  2. I'm so glad you're enjoying the posts. I checked and the Dharma Swan plans are listed on eBay. The seller does ship worldwide, put international shipping is pricey - more than the cost of the plans! The entire package is so well done. it's probably worth it.

  3. Hey there,
I gotta say amazing collection you got there. Im starting one myself and I'm looking into making the swan logo out of styrofoam. Any pointers as to where you got the foam from and what the best way about carving it is? I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks.

  5. Hi, I love your blog.
I was curious, why haven't I've seen the Dharma floor plans before? Are these a prop makers plans or are they considered authentic? The reason I ask is because of the map. I have been working on a LOST map since about season two and I should release a realistic version of the island with location within a month. I seen every LOST map out there but this one. I'm very curious how the locations were arrived at.

    Thanks
    My blog is TheLOSTmap@blogspot.com

  6. My understanding is that the author/cartographer of map package worked on LOST, but created package on own time.So I assume the majority of information is accurate. Sorry I missed your question until now.
